It started with a dance tryout
It wasn't some grand romantic moment. It started with a few messages, a couple of photos, and a shared goal: they were both looking for a dance partner. Aubrey is six feet tall and had spent years searching for someone who wouldn't disappear beside her on the dance floor. Alexander claimed to be 6'3" or 6'4" depending on the shoes he was wearing.
So Alexander made the three-hour drive to Aubrey's studio for a professional tryout. When she opened the door, her first thought was, “Okay... he might've rounded up a little.” But they decided to give it a shot anyway. And from the moment they started moving, something clicked.

From champions to teachers
Together, Alexander and Aubrey became multiple-time professional ballroom champions and national finalists. But what they loved most wasn't the trophies. It was teaching.
Over the past two decades, they've taught hundreds of wedding couples their first dance. They know what it feels like to step into something new, to be unsure of your footing, to laugh through mistakes, and to experience those little moments of connection that dance creates.
